Capacity Building of the PCMA’s employees

Employees of the PCMA participated in numerous specialized training programs in the PCMA’s fields of work throughout 2023, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance their capabilities. A group of employees attended various specialized courses in the insurance industry, including fire, engineering, general insurance, marine and reinsurance, health insurance, and life insurance. Additionally, there was a course on underwriting and distribution in life insurance and health insurance products. Specialized courses were also held for employees of the Insurance Directorate on evaluating feasibility studies for insurance companies.

 

During 2023, the PCMA, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), held specialized training programs on comprehensive insurance, microinsurance, and agricultural insurance.

 

In the same context, the PCMA participated in a series of specialized remote training programs organized by the Arab Monetary Fund and the Union of Arab Securities Commissions. These programs covered market and securities analysis, Islamic bonds (sukuk), the development of Arab financial markets, modern financial technologies, and enhancing their applications in the financial and banking sectors, as well as anti-money laundering.

 

Additionally, employees of the PCMA participated in several specialized training programs in professional, financial, and administrative fields. This included attending a specialized course on International Accounting Standards (IAS & IFRS) and General Budgeting in Palestine, as well as workshops focused on legal areas such as capacity building for legal professionals in government agencies, legislative needs assessment, and legislative impact assessment document workshops. Furthermore, employees obtained various professional certifications such as liability insurance, an introduction to general insurance, and participated in an informative visit on financial technology in the United Kingdom.

 

In the realm of communication and outreach, the PCMA participated in a specialized conference on social media channels and a specialized course on communication skills and interpersonal interactions. Furthermore, they engaged in a diploma program in digital media. Additionally, the PCMA took part in training courses on emerging technologies and digital transformation, along with a course on Fujitsu Eternus Storage Administration.
