PCMA staff participated in several specialized training programs related to the PCMA’s areas of work during 2025, as part of the PCMA’s continued efforts to enhance the capacities of its employees. A group of employees participated in a number of specialized training courses in the insurance industry covering fundamental actuarial principles, the design of agricultural insurance products, reinsurance, and reinsurance agreements. These courses were held in cooperation with Oxfam.
As part of a technical assistance project provided by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), PCMA staff participated in specialized training and certification programs, including the Certified Expert in Microinsurance certificate and the Certified Expert in Risk Management certificate, as well as specialized certificates in information systems, namely Digital Transformation: From AI and IoT to Cloud, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity, and KM Course: Stanford Digital Transformation Program.
In the same context, the PCMA participated in a group of training programs organized by the Arab Monetary Fund and the Union of Arab Securities Authorities on the risk-based approach, risk assessment mechanisms, financial market supervision, the development of Arab capital markets, takaful insurance, and business data analysis. Specialized training was also delivered to the staff of the Securities Directorate on the Forex trading system.
PCMA staff also participated in a specialized training program on Islamic finance, implemented by AAOIFI and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance. The workshops addressed specialized topics in Islamic finance and key global developments.
